About Customer Insights Center
The Customer Insights Center team works on highly visible, key research and corporate strategic initiatives with company leaders typically focused on identifying, evaluating and executing on opportunities to drive growth and/or operation excellence for H-E-B. Key activities include investigating corporate opportunities through designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research and analyses, forming hypotheses, synthesizing conclusions, presenting findings to corporate leadership, and translating recommendations into action plans in collaboration with company stakeholders.
Description
The manager of quantitative will be responsible for helping to drive the customer story through the synthesis of multiple data sources. Their ultimate goal is to provide insights that will lead to strategic decisions on multiple projects.
Candidates must have a strong background in industry research (CPG, retail, etc.) and poses financial and customer research experience. Familiarity with multiple research methodologies beyond syndicated and point of sale customer data (e.g. primary qualitative, survey design, etc.) is also critical since this individual will be expected to work as part of various cross-functional teams to create project roadmaps for necessary analysis and insight.
Team management and executive presentation experience is imperative for this role. The manager of quantitative will work with others on the research team to create a cohesive, hypothesis-driven approach to solving strategic questions for various stakeholders (e.g., store operations leadership, category managers, etc.) and senior management. S/he will provide data interpretation, visual models and tracking of performance using various data sources to these audiences.
Specific responsibilities include:
*Oversee all syndicated data sources
*Direction to the analytics team on creation, integration and use of primary customer focused point of sale data and secondary data
*Leading the analyst team to evolve data into insights and help develop actionable solutions based on these insights
*Ability to identify data mining gaps and lead analytic team in filling those gaps
*Building relationships with key business partners across the organization and providing on-going strategic consulting support to these partners
*Management of the relationship and work between analysts and internal clients*¿Manage and prioritize simultaneous project responsibilities for self and analyst team *Presentation of data and customer story to senior management
Requirements
-A successful candidate has relevant business experience working for a leading consulting firm on issues of management, strategy and scenario planning, or performing similar functions for a corporation.
-This key position has high visibility among senior executives and business unit leadership so strong communication, including writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills are a must. This professional must be analytical and persuasive, and be able to gain and hold the respect of key stakeholders within the company.
-Strong track record of problem-solving and critical analysis including: structuring problems, performing detailed analysis, and developing recommendations.
-Be a creative thinker: Ability to envision new and innovative ideas and approaches and ways to take them to fruition.
-Be a curious, internally-motivated self-starter with ability to plan, organize and establish priorities to manage multiple projects and achieve results.
